Carnival
in Goa is essentially a spring festival, which is celebrated every year
between 12th February to 15th February. Celebrated with immense joy on the
beautiful beaches of Goa, the carnival appeals to a wide range of tourists
from all across the world.
The
fabulous architecture and impressive building structure of this church is
simply unique and magnificent. The church is reputed for containing the body
of St. Francis Xavier, which is kept in a silver casket and is open to
public once in ten years. The altars of the church are lavishly glided but
the rest of interiors look simple yet appealing. You can also visit the
modern art gallery attached with Basilica for knowing the place in a better
way. An awesome yet worthwhile experience indeed!
